Vacuum Conveying Systems

Clean, controlled and flexible conveying of powders, granules and bulk solids across modern process plants.

Fanpod Engineering designs and supplies vacuum conveying systems for the safe transfer of powders and granular materials between process equipment. By using negative pressure, the system can move products through enclosed pipelines while reducing dust release, product exposure and manual handling.

Vacuum conveying is particularly suitable for hygienic, hazardous, fragile or contamination-sensitive materials where reliable containment and controlled product transfer are essential.

Engineered Material Transfer

Designed around the product, not just the pipeline

Effective pneumatic conveying depends on more than selecting a vacuum pump. Product density, particle size, moisture, flowability, conveying distance, elevation changes, required capacity and cleaning procedures all influence the final design.

Fanpod develops conveying arrangements that connect the complete process: feeding, pickup, separation, filtration, discharge and control. The result is a coordinated system that supports stable operation and protects the quality of the handled material.

01

Enclosed Conveying

Product is transferred through a closed conveying route, helping minimize dust emission and reducing direct contact between the material and the surrounding environment.

02

Hygienic Process Design

Sanitary components, cleanable surfaces and suitable filtration arrangements support applications where product purity and controlled cleaning are important.

03

Flexible Layout

Vacuum conveying can move materials vertically, horizontally and around existing equipment, making it suitable for compact or multi-level production areas.

04

Reduced Product Exposure

Enclosed transfer helps protect sensitive powders from environmental contamination and limits operator exposure to dusty or hazardous materials.

05

Controlled Feeding

Pickup probes, feed valves and conveying cycles can be selected to provide repeatable transfer from bags, hoppers, silos, bins or process vessels.

06

Simple Plant Integration

The system can be integrated with sack tipping stations, big bag unloaders, sieves, mixers, reactors, filling machines and packaging lines.

How the System Works

From pickup point to process equipment

During operation, the vacuum generator creates negative pressure in the conveying line. The product is drawn from the source equipment into the receiver, where the material is separated from the conveying air and discharged into the destination vessel or machine.

1

Material Pickup

The product enters the conveying line from a sack tipping station, hopper, container, silo or other feeding point.

2

Air and Product Transfer

Negative pressure carries the material through the selected pipeline while the system maintains a controlled conveying cycle.

3

Separation and Filtration

The receiver separates the bulk material from the conveying air and protects the vacuum generator with an appropriate filter arrangement.

4

Discharge to the Process

The conveyed material is released into the receiving vessel or equipment before the next conveying cycle begins.

Configuration Options

Selected for your material and operating conditions

The final equipment arrangement is determined by the product characteristics, required throughput, conveying distance, available installation space and the hygiene or safety classification of the process.

Vacuum Source Vacuum pump, blower or ejector-based system
Receivers Single or multiple receiving points
Filters Process, sanitary or high-efficiency filtration
Discharge Butterfly, flap, rotary or suitable hygienic valve
Pipeline Stainless-steel lines with suitable bends and connections
Control Automatic sequencing, level sensing and operator interface

Engineering Considerations

Performance begins with correct process data

A properly engineered conveying system protects both production efficiency and product quality. Before selecting the equipment, Fanpod reviews the material behavior, transfer route and operational requirements.

What material will be conveyed?

Bulk density, particle size, moisture, temperature, abrasiveness and flowability affect the choice of receiver, filter, valve and conveying conditions.

What capacity is required?

Required throughput and batch size determine the receiver volume, pipeline diameter and operating cycle of the system.

How long is the conveying route?

Horizontal distance, vertical lift, bends and the number of pickup or discharge points are considered during system design.

What level of hygiene is needed?

Food, pharmaceutical and contamination-sensitive applications may require sanitary construction, special finishes and validated cleaning arrangements.
