GuardMax® sanitary strainers are critical components in hygienic process lines, designed to protect sensitive equipment from coarse particles, fibers, metal debris, and process contaminants. With a fully drainable, hygienic design, they are entirely compatible with CIP/SIP systems and allow the use of various filtration elements in food, dairy, pharmaceutical, and biotech applications.
Even small solid particles, pipe rust, or metal flakes can cause severe damage to expensive equipment such as pumps, homogenizers, heat exchangers, and filling systems. Selecting the right strainer drastically reduces unwanted line downtime. All product-contact parts in the GuardMax® series are manufactured from premium 316L stainless steel, offering exceptional corrosion resistance in acidic and alkaline environments. Furthermore, sealing gaskets and elastomers are FDA-approved, ensuring the highest level of safety for food and pharmaceutical industries.
GuardMax® strainers remove coarse contaminants before they reach critical downstream equipment. The Y-Type models, with their compact design, can be installed both horizontally and vertically, allowing for rapid servicing and element replacement.
The PST-S (Inline) straight-through design (0° inlet/outlet) offers the lowest pressure drop in the GuardMax® family, making it ideal for continuous processing lines and CIP circuits. Conversely, Angle (L-Type) models are engineered for higher capacities and viscous fluids.
PST-S (Inline) offers the lowest pressure drop overall. PST-A (Angle) provides the highest dirt-holding capacity and flow volume. PST-Y (Y-Type) delivers a highly economical, compact solution for general equipment protection.
Our engineering team will assist you in selecting, sizing, and calculating pressure drops for GuardMax® strainers tailored to your specific process lines to guarantee maximum efficiency.
